The Perfect Black Leather Rose – Orange County Glamour and Boudoir Photographer

Finally, a rose even I can appreciate.  I’m not a fan of roses.   In my opinion, they are by far, the most boring and over-exposed flower to ever be born.  I actually pity the poor thing; always being picked like that.  It’s been around for centuries and has been written about numerous times.  For most, it is associated with love and affection.  But sometimes that love becomes heartbreak thus making the rose a symbol of the death of a romance.   I must confess, I’m not even a fan of the scent of roses.   I do however enjoy seeing people receive them and the expressions of happiness, appreciation and love on their faces.  There’s something really sweet about seeing a guy give roses to a girl he really likes and wants to like him back.  In that moment, they become the little folded love note at school, written on a piece of notebook paper that asks a simple question, “Do you like me? Yes or No?”  Now if we can just get the guys to be a bit more creative and original in their floral selection and choose a flower that is as unique as the recipient…let’s revisit that task on another day, shall we?

Today I want to tease you with a very special rose that I am absolutely enamored with.  Miss Ivette was given this perfect barbed wire leather rose by her lover and brought it to our recent session.   When she told me about it during our consultation and the ideas that she had for her Indulging Allure Experience, I knew we would have a fabulous time creating provocative, sensual, playful and artistically erotic images.    Our very talented Make-up Artist, Jennette Pulecio,  accentuated Ivette’s luscious lips with a ravishing shade of red that was simply flawless!  It’s always a joy to watch another artist create.

For the record, my favorite flowers are exotic Lilies, sweet Daisies, lush Peonies and the intoxicatingly fragrant Gardenia.

This has all left me quite curious.  How do you feel about roses?  What’s your favorite flower?

Please indulge us with your thoughts.  Who knows, you may be the recipient of a gorgeous bouquet of your favorites…because you DESERVE it!

Tamara - Thank you for sharing, John. The thought that you put into this very special gift that describes your Love so perfectly makes my heart smile.

John Taylor - I believe that rose to reflect the amazing woman who received it. The tough barbed wire exterior containing the tender beautiful heart of a rose, the soft and supple leather, so soft to the touch, as well as so resilient under so many conditions. That rose, like her, will last and be forever beautiful. Especially if given the tender nurturing and love she, as well as all women, deserve

Tamara - John, you really touched my heart. You’re right, it’s the memories that a flower or any other thing stirs that makes it so special to each of us. Thank you so much for sharing. It’s an honor to have your voice be heard here at Indulging Allure.

J Livingston - It’s tulips for us as it was all I could afford when I was a poor college student and first met my wife. I may do roses from time to time (*love* garden roses, not the store-bought type) but red or pink tulips will bring a smile from the wife like no other flower can. It’s not just the shape of the flower, or it’s scent, but the memories that it stirs.

Tamara - I totally agree, Michelle! I simply MUST have one for my private collection. I’ll be sharing more of Miss Ivette soon. :)

Michelle - Her lips are amazing, and that rose is something else, I really want to see more!

Orange County Boudoir and Glamour Photographer Runs into Some Dangerous Curves

See, what had happened was…I was expecting a somewhat shy yet confident Goddess for this boudoir session.  She said she and her husband her huge fans of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and her husband loved her voluptuous curves and mesmerizing eyes.  We set a date and I called up the Indulging Allure Glam Squad of Diego Ortega for Glamourous Hair, Kimberly Bragalone for Make-up Magic, and Sensational Stylist Debra Ekas for an afternoon of Diva Dress-up.

When Mrs. P showed up, she showed out!  She was well prepared for our stylist with a sexy, seductive and smokin’ hot collection of lingerie from Hips and Curves plus size lingerie for full figured divas.   We had a fabulous time creating some really fun, flirty, glamorous and oh so sultry images.

Here’s a quote that Mrs. P shared with me that I just love!

“I can make a scene that’s not supposed to be sexy, very sexy.
It’s a power you’re born with. It’s not a physical thing, it comes from inside.
It’s all in the eyes.” ~Tara Reid

(Did you see Mrs. P’s eyes?!)

Are you ready to show off your dangerous curves?  Contact me to set a date and indulge in your own afternoon of fabulous photos featuring YOU.

Go ahead,  you deserve it!

Creating a Boudoir

I’ve been in my yearly nesting phase lately.  After finally acquiring an early 1900’s Antique Brass Bed, I decided it was time to re-create my own personal boudoir.  I’ve wanted a brass bed for only 20+ years.  As I was doing my occasional search for the elusive “Old Man”, I came across another piece that found it’s way onto to my “must have” list some years ago, an antique wardrobe trunk (or 2, or 3).  Finding both within a few weeks of each other was sheer moxie!

Two of my favorite movies are Breakfast at Tiffany’s and Casablanca.  I watch them often with a glass of wine and my favorite blankie.  Travel, antiques, a Montecristo with a cordial of Porto, shoes, a good book, dark chocolate, fine dining, and luxurious lingerie are just a few of my indulgences.  I want my boudoir to reflect my personality and appreciation for the timeless charm and resilience of a well made antique as well as my affinity for glamour & fashion.  It should feel calm, inviting and sensual with a touch of elegance, playfulness and mystery.

With my newly acquired “Old Man” named Fred and Wardrobe Trunk that I refer to as “The Chief”, I’d like to invite you to join me as I update my current boudoir.  I won’t be sharing every little detail; a girl has to have a few secrets.

I hope these posts will inspire you to create a private retreat of your own that makes you feel like a queen and to never give up on your “Old Man”…whatever it may be.

And now…please allow me to introduce you to The Chief and my Old Man, the naked bed named Fred.  Don’t worry about Fred, the new memory foam mattress will be done with it’s off-gassing saga this week and I’ll get to spend some quality time with my “Old Man”.  Until then…it’s the sofa for me.

Don't lose your rails! Each pair is hand welded to fit the bed they belong to. For true antiques, they are irreplaceable.

What’s So Sexy About a Woman In The Shower?

I’ve spoken to a few men-folk about this topic and remember a really fun discussion about it during my Human Sexuality studies in college. So, I have an idea of why, but I’m more interested in hearing your thoughts.

In fact, I’d like to invite YOU to give the caption for today’s photo. Leave your caption in the comments section below and the best one will be featured in the next post with another hot and steamy image from this session. You’ve got a whole week. Don’t worry, we’re all adults here.:)

Here’s your inspiration, enjoy!
